Weakness: Graphics aren't so good, but gives comic book feel
This game is actually really good. I've read it was kind of glitchy but I haven't seen any of those glitches. I enjoyed this game thoroughly and the best part is its 2 player cooperative. My roommate and I ran through this game, levelling up the characters and killing all the enemies. It brought back nice childhood memories of the x-men. I'd buy this game again in a second.

TopX-Men Legends
Strengths: Multiplayer action , good storyline, RPG elements.
Weakness: Bad character models, not online.
At this game's root is a basic brawler with dungeon crawling elements. But this game is so much more deeper then say a mindless game like Gauntlet and more appealling (due to its' X-men universe and characters) then something like Champions of Norrath. I guess you could say Legends takes the best from both worlds (Gauntlet and Norrath) and fuses them together into a fantastic X-men game. The 4-player action is great, especially later on in the game once you build experience points and power up your mutant abilities. It's unfortunate the game forces you to use certain characters for parts of the game and it is NOT 4-players right off the bat. You start off with Wolverine and have to play a few missions before you gradually get to the mansion where you have access to the other X-men. While the graphics aren't terrible in their cel shaded form, it's not very visually appealling. Whoever at Actvision did the character art design should be reprimanded. The CG cutscenes tell a pretty good story but all the characters look deformed and ugly (a far cry from the artwork of Jim Lee). I'd reccommend picking this game up since it has plummeted in price. This will hold you over until the sequel later this year. That game will finally (thankfully) be online!

TopX-Men Legends
Strengths: Great Co-operative gameplay Responsive controls. Nice graphic style.
Weakness: Not much orginaality. Single player, not nearly as interesting.
As goes with most of these types of multi-player action RPGs, it is always much better with more people. Playing X-men Legends with 4 players is a blast working together and doing co-operative moves. However, playing alone tends to bring out some of the games repetitiveness. The production values are of a much higher caliber than most super-hero fare, however they really just serve to dress up what is essentially a fairly standard action RPG. Nevertheless, if you like games like Baldur's Gate, or Champions of Norath, you will enjoy the change of setting X-men Legends offers.

TopX-Men Legends (Xbox)
Strengths: Good graphics, 4-player multiplayer, good X-Men transition, enjoyable action
Weakness: Not online capable
X-Men Legends is a top-down brawler staring the characters from the X-Men comics. Up to 4 players can play at the same time, though the computer handles all of the characters that aren't run by a person, and control between the characters can be swapped on the fly. It plays like a button-masher in a lot of ways, though it's a fun game throughout. Multiplayer is more fun than single player, though it's not available online.
X-Men fans should take a look at this one.

TopX-CELLENT GAME ( I know, bad pun)
Strengths: pretty accurate history and background for each character, good controls and good team mechanics, fun to play w/ friends as a group
Weakness: computer AI for your team mates isn't that bright, graphics are only so-so
XMEN LEGENDS FINALY ANSWERS THE PRAYERS OF MILLIONS OF FANBOYS WORLDWIDE WHO WERE CLAMORING FOR A DECENT XMEN GAME (THE ONLY ONES THAT WERE FAIRLY DECENT WAS XMEN APOCALYPSE FOR THE SNES AND XMEN THE ARCADE GAME). FINALLY, YOU CAN VICARIOUSLY LIVE THROUGH THE COLORED BOOTS OF YOUR FAVORITE XMEN. WILL YOU CHOOSE THE ENERGY PROJECTING TEAM LEADER CYCLOPS, THE MIGHTY BUT LUMBERING COLOSSUS, OR THE FERAL BRAWLER HIMSELF, WOLVERINE. THIS GAME IS REMINISCENT OF HACK AND SLASHERS LIKE BALDUR'S GATE: DARK ALLIANCE AND FALLOUT BROTHERHOOD OF STEEL. THE GRAPHICS IN THIS GAME DON'T REALLY DO IT FOR ME BECAUSE OF THE CEL-SHADED STYLE. ALSO , THE CHARACTERS ARE TOO SMALL (JUST LIKE IN BALDUR'S GATE, IT HAS THE SAME TOP-DOWN VIEWPOINT). THE GOOD TRAITS OF THIS GAME IS THAT WHICHEVER CHARACTER YOU SELECT, YOU ARE ABLE TO UPGRADE THEIR POWERS AND ABILITIES BY EARNING EXPERIENCE POINTS DURING YOUR MANY BATTLES. YOU CAN ALSO PERFORM TEAM ATTACKS , LIKE THE "FASTBALL SPECIAL" FROM THE COMICS, WHERE COLOSSUS PICKS UP AND FLINGS WOLVERINE, CLAWS UNSHEATHED, AND READY TO SLICE AND DICE AND GO BENIHANA ON THEIR BEHINDS.
MY PROBLEM WITH THIS GAME IS THAT IT GETS DIFFICULT LATER ON IN THE GAME, ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE PLAYING THE SINGLE PLAYER GAME. BE PREPARED TO DIE AND RESTART YOUR MISSIONS BECAUSE THE COMPUTER A.I. CONTROLLING YOUR TEAMMATES ONLY DOES A SEMI-DECENT JOB W/ PROVIDING BACK UP SUPPORT FOR YOUR CHARACTER. BUT OVERALL , I WAS PLEASED W/ THIS GAME AND WOULD RECOMMEND BUYING IT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU WERE A FAN OF THE COMIC SERIES.

TopThink: Balder's Gate Dark Alliance meets the Xmen
Strengths: Lots of characters from the comic, cool mutant abilities.
Weakness: No online and the game get's a bit cheap and difficult towards the end.
Xmen legends is an action rpg set in the Xmen universe, The combat is your standard hack and slash with some rpg elements, the mutant abilities are pretty cool, and the story is well done. The voice acting is very good with Patrick Stewart actually doing the voice for Professor X. Buy this game if you like games like Champions of Norrath, and The console Baldur's Gate Series.

Strengths: Multiplayer mode is excellent; character powers and selection are diverse; bright, colorful graphics
Weakness: Gets difficult if in single player mode, especially when the computer-operated players won’t replenish their health quick enough; cut scenes can be long and somewhat repetitive
X-Men Legends is entertaining, but is by far a better game when played in multiplayer. The fighting is very simple, an RPG with similar controls to that of the Champions of Norrath games or Baldur’s Gate. When playing in multiplayer, the characters can combine powers to attack enemies differently, which is cool. The game is long, especially at the beginning with the cut scenes that set up the initial story line and those that teach you the moves and menus. Overall, a great game, especially in a group.

X-men Legends is a team based game in which you control the X-men to battle some of the fiercest villains in the Marvel universe. The game has an excellent team based mechanic which allows you to take four X-men into battle and use individual strategies for each character in order to take down the forces of evil. The cut-scene graphics are very good and so are the sounds and character voiceovers. The multiplayer action (which enables up to four players) is also more fun and entertaining than playing solo.
The only things that disinterested me were the in game graphics. While you are playing, the cel-shaded anime style is great, but the characters are very small and I do not like the overhead camera angles. Even the old X-men arcade game had better in game graphics that displayed on the Xbox.

It has a great co-op, and the ability to play multiple characters at once is awesome. One thing that could have moved this game to the top would be better graphics. The graphics of this game are really bad. The amount of hardware the xbox has means that the game should have been better designed. I would recommend this game to other people.

Strengths: Great X-men powers. Super-fun Co-Op. Satisfying combat.
Weakness: Graphics engine works well in game, but looks bad during cut-scenes.
This game is a fun to march through by yourself, or even better, with a friend. The combat very well done with quick attacks, power attacks, throws, and Mutant powers. It all comes together perfectly. Cyclops shoots an enemy with his laser vision and Wolverine slices him with his claws. Moments like this, make the game a joy to play. The fun is doubled when you and a friend team-up on an enemy.
The comic book graphics look really good during the action, but I wish they used something else for the cut-scenes. It just looks bad.
I'm no X-men fanatic. I like the movies but never got into the comics. But I loved this game, and I'm sure X-men fans will too.

Strengths: Deep storyline with tons of little details; easy-to-use RPG elements; fast and furious action; cool, varied mutant powers.
Weakness: AI can be a bit stupid at inopportune times; in-game cutscenes don't look very good; multiplayer is fun, but would be better online.
X-Men Legends doesn't really impress technically in terms of sound or visuals, but it's really all about the combat anyway. The fighting is simple, addictive, and enjoyable throughout the long adventure. It's nice to see the X-Men get their due with a game that truly showcases what has made the comics great for three decades. There are a few things that will annoy people, particularly the accidental suicides, but most of Legends is a joy. The story is good, very fitting for the X-Men universe, and every character but Cyclops is perfectly realized. It's more fun with friends, but is still enjoyable all by your lonesome. With a long, involved story mode and bonus modes beyond that, this one will take up a chunk of your life. X-Men Legends is a must for any X-Men fan or fan of dungeon-crawling RPGs.

Strengths: Good gameplay, awesome X-men game
Weakness: Harder in the later parts of the game, Kind of frustrating when playing by yourself.
This is the best X-men game on the Xbox. It is a really fun game, especially when you have 4 players. It is also cool how you can choose what X-men you have in your party. The downfall to X-men legends is that when you play by yourself it is a pretty hard game. It is also not as fun playing by yourself. I am a huge fan of this game, but i put it down for a while and bought it again due to the fun factor. I recommend this game to those gamers who like Untold Legends of the PSP or Diablo for the PC.
