Strengths: GOOD CONTROL ON BIKES
Weakness: LIMITED SONGS ON SOUNDTRACK
ATV Quad Power Racing 2 is the only ATV racing game currently available for the X box. It is similar to many of the other motorcycle games on this system such as the MX series but also has an element of the motorcycle combat game Road Rash. One of the game modes is racing but the added twisted is that you're able to knock your opponents off their bike which gives you an unfair lead advantage. This makes the races all lot more fun and also doing insane jumps off of the ramps that you encounter during of the race. You get three buttons during the game, an Attack button, and also a Trick button, to perform various tricks on your bike. There is also a Pre-load button that helps to increase the height and distance of your jumps off ramps. There is also a career mode, single race mode, and an arcade mode. As you advance in career mode, you're able to unlock more racing tracks and various other quad bikes. There's a total of 15 tracks which are set in different environments like a snow level, a swamp, a construction site, a dirt track through a thick forest, and even a beach. You also get a Freestyle mode which takes place inside an arena that has many different ramps in which you have to do a certain amount of tricks within a time limit. There is also a Challenge Mode, which tests your ability to control your bike as you do jumps. Another is the Tower challenge in which you ride and try to maneuver through raised platforms and bridges. Overall this is a very fun game with enough unique modes that help set it apart from the other standard cycle racing games out there.

At first glance, there isn't an iota of difference between the Xbox and GameCube versions of ATV: Quad Power Racing 2. Both games feature the same vehicles, challenges, and redundant adrenaline rock soundtrack. How many times can you listen to Godsmack's Bad Religion?

As long as vehicle manufacturers put wheels on things, the gaming industry will make a game based on said vehicles. Racing games seem to be everywhere: Tony Hawk Pro Skater is consistently on the top of the best-seller lists, several motorcycle games such as Moto GP line the shelves, and 18-wheeler trucks even have their own titles. But the youth of today are no longer satisfied with simple...

The nice thing about making a 4x4 game for Xbox, is that there's not much competition. Different from a car racing game , a 4x4 game has a unique feel and different set of standards. So, with Acclaim bringing ATV Quad Power Racing 2 to Xbox, it has little to stand in its way of dominating the genre. Unfortunately, while a reasonably solid game, ATV: Quad Power Racing 2 fails to do anything but...

ATV Quad Power Racing 2
Strengths: Decent action, decent graphics
Weakness: Nothing standout, repetitive soundtrack, difficult controls
ATV Quad Power Racing 2 brings some passable 4x4 racing action to the Xbox. The game looks OK, nothing standout, though the soundtrack gets a bit repetitive at times. The action is good enough with multiple different types of racing and a decent assortment of 4x4 bikes, though it just doesn't stick out as a top-notch title. The controls take quite a bit of time to get used to, due to their layout. As there's no other options out there, this one does the job acceptably.
