Xbox - MPN: 47875810730
Strengths: scares and action. ability to save anywhwere is a great bonus too.
Weakness: repetitive, bosses aren't that difficult,
This game is an extremely entertaining FPS action / horror game. The single player campaign takes about 15 hours to complete (depends on your skill level). Online capability give you the ability to play death match (which is just OK) and Co-op (which is a lot of fun). The weapons and graphics in this game are fantastic as are the sound effects. My biggest gripe is the amount of darkness in the game which requires the usage of the flashlight, but I suppose that adds to the suspense of the game. Addition of DOOM I & II are a nice touch too.
Highly recommended

TopStrengths: Great graphics, suspenseful atmosphere, DOOM & DOOM II included, XBL co-op gameplay
Weakness: Stupid AI, limited multiplayer
DOOM 3 Collector's Edition is a port of the PC title. On the Xbox, it looks great, with a great horror-type atmosphere. Unlike the PC version, there isn't a mod to allow the flashlight use and gun use as the same time, so there's lots of swapping back and forth between the two. The action is great, if a bit repetitive with stupid AI-driven enemies, with XBL-capable online co-op gameplay and deathmatch gameplay, though no other multiplayer. On the CE version, DOOM I & DOOM II are included, and great retro fun.
FPS fans should take a look at this one.

TopStrengths: Beautiful graphics and sound, immersive atmosphere, Xbox-exclusive coop mode, online multi-player support, Doom 1 and 2 ports included, tin collector's case, "making of" video
Weakness: Old school gameplay, unimpressive A.I., limited enemy types, repetitive environments, minimal story and replay value, limited multi-player modes
Doom fans have waited years for the eventual PC sequel, and console owners had to wait yet another 6-9 months for Doom 3 to finally appear it on Xbox. Such delays were largely worth it, but Doom 3 does have a few issues.
On the positive side, Doom 3 offers beautiful graphics and sound that really pull you into its sci-fi universe. It doesn't look as good on Xbox as on a top-tier PC, but it's about the best you'll see on a console this hardware generation.
Xbox gets a unique cooperative mode that lets you and a friend play through much of the single player campaign together. To keep the frame rate up, the programmers didn't allow for split-screen play, so you'll have to have two Xbox systems, two tvs and two copies of the game to play it.
Where the graphics and sound have advanced, the gameplay has remained largely the same run and gun action from years ago. You will notice lots of gameplay similarities between Doom 3 and the ports of Doom 1 and 2. Doom 3 is still great fun, but people looking for true advances in its gameplay will likely be disappointed.
Fortunately, Doom 3 has recently dropped in price to $30 at most retail stores, so FPS fans should opt for a copy of the collector's edition while it's still available. If you've ever wondered what the Doom series has to offer, this Xbox port provides everything you need to know.

TopStrengths: Very good graphics, excellent atmosphere
Weakness: Not much variety in environments
Doom 3: Collector's Edition is a top tier first-person shooter for the Xbox. The graphics are top-notch and the sound is amazing as well. The game has a great spooky atmosphere that is implemented by having most of the game played in the shadows. The game requires you to switch back and forth between your flashlight and your weapons as you explore a base on Mars where experiments have gone horribly wrong.
The flashlight and gun mechanic makes the game extremely suspenseful, because you must quickly switch between the two as demonic creatures are popping out of the darkness. The beginning of this game is absolutely amazing because you don't know what to expect. Unfortunately, the game gets a little repetitive as you get used to enemies popping out and the bulk of the game is set in small corridors.
The game offers online multiplayer with both co-operative and versus modes. The multiplayer modes are pretty standard deathmatch modes. The co-operative mode lets you and another player play through the story mode.
This game also includes the original Doom and Doom II as extras, so that's a nice inclusion.

TopStrengths: Excellent graphics, includes Doom I & II
Weakness: Mediocore game design
Ever since it's original PC release, I always wanted to play Doom III but my computer wouldn't let me. I was happy when the xbox port was announced and that it would be getting Doom I & II a bonus for the Collector's Edition.
Doom III starts out great and from there on it bounces back between dull and exciting. The problem is that game design is far too reliant on the 'eternal darkness' that present for most of the game. It looks really, really good though, easily among the best graphics on the xbox.
Doom I & II are better than I remember theme. Fast paced, tough classic fps.

TopStrengths: Beautiful graphics, killer guns
Weakness: Extremely dated gameplay
Doom 3 is, in many ways, one of the strangest games to release in years. On the one hand, it has graphics that are light years ahead of most every other game out there on the market--only Half Life 2 looks this good. The Xbox handles the game very well, and this version comes with piles of extras, like a co-op version of the original Doom. However, it's also a game caught in the past, since it has not evolved gameplay wise over the original version that game out over a decade ago. You still wander from room to room, look for keys, and blow away whatever random monsters cross your path. THe gameplay gets old fast, but for some, the graphics will cover over this flaw, and they'll have a great time anyway.

TopStrengths: Graphics, sounds, storyline, gameplay, xbox live
Weakness: Absence of split screen co-op, load times
Doom III is another release in Xbox’s exceptional line of first person shooters (FPS). The graphics are stunning and it sounds great. The storyline is refreshing and the gameplay is also solid. The game is also challenging on the single player setting as the enemies seem to spawn out of nowhere and the environments are very dark, causing you to use your flashlight to see. Unfortunately, switching between your flashlight and weaponry takes a split second, which gives the enemies the upper hand. The main issues I have with this game concern XBOX live.
The game allows a co-op multiplayer experience via XBOX live. This is a great feature, but it opted to eliminate split screen co-op. Also, the deathmatch online features are exceptional. And when I played online in either mode, I did not experience any slowdown. This game I would highly recommend for anybody interested in a first person shooter other than Halo.

TopStrengths: Fantastic graphics, Dooms 1 & 2!!!
Weakness: can't play dooms 1 & 2 online; expensive
This game is just fantastic. It's creepy, it actually makes me jump at times (and I never get scared at anything). Plus, the online play is amazing, and online co-op is just so good! Highly highly recommended; would definitely buy again. And again.

TopStrengths: Super Sweet graphics! Very Nice Cinematics! Scary Game In the Dark! Amazing 5.1 Surround Sound! Xbox live Gameplay! This game pushes Xbox Hardware to the max! A bunch of cool extra!
Weakness: A bit clunky auto aim control, Online game is weak & not many different game types!
I finally got the Limited edition version of this game to add to my collection, I'll list the extras that is offered in the limited version:
Extra: Super Nice Tin collector edition tin! A different game insert manual, 2 months of XBOX live card, G4 TV making of the Game video, Full playable DOOM 1 & II Game!
This is additional $10 more than the regular version and well worth the money!
Original review:
I been waiting for this game for almost a year since I heard It's coming to XBOX, I had my doubts about the PC ports as to weather the XBOX hardware would be able to handle it. But this really does live up to my expectation! I heard the Limited ed. copy had the old doom 1 & 2 (can't wait to pick up that)
Pros: Graphic is Just simply amazing to look at, and with HD support it looks ever sweeter! 5.1 surround sound will put on the edge of your seats! xbox live multiplayer is another to boot.
Cons: Auto Aim is a bit off, Need more game type on xbox live (not a Halo 2 Killa for online)
Overall: 4 OUTTA 5 Just the to see the Graphic alone is worth the admission.

TopStrengths: Very Scary, Amazing Graphics, Co-op on Xbox Live,
Weakness: Linear Levels, Becomes Predictable
Doom 3 is the long awaited game to finally come to Xbox. The game was released months ago on the PC and now makes it way onto the Xbox. The game starts off when you venture of to a Mars base to investigate business on the base. While you are there, "hell" is discovered and chaos breaks loose on the base. Almost everyone is dead except you and you must fight your way to get out of the base. Power is often lost and you must venture through hallways in darkness. A flashlight is made available to you but needs to be put back away in order to shoot. This game is very bloody and is not for someone with an uneasy stomach. Monsters will constantly jump from behind corners, under vents, from ceiling tops and other places to attack you. Also, the sound is done great. As you walk down a hallway, the floors will creak, and pipe will clank against each to scary you. This in my opinion is the scariest video game made. If you have surround sound, and make the room completely dark, you are in for a scary treat. The controls are simple which makes it a great game to pick up and play. As the game goes on though, some sequence can be predictable and the levels become linear. The graphics in Doom 3 are just simply amazing. By far one of the best on Xbox, the graphics alone are a selling point for this game. Added from the PC version is a Co-op mode playable via Xbox Live. This really makes the game a must buy (even if you had the PC version). Its really fun creeping down the hallway with a friend-one holding a flashlight, the other scanning the area with a gun. It is a truly rewarding experience. A deathmatch on Xbox Live is also available but its just not as fun as the single player or co-op. Overall, Doom 3 is a definite must-buy for all FPS fans and should at least get a rental by casual gamers.

TopStrengths: ORIGINAL DOOM and DOOM 2!!
Weakness: NONE
This game is pretty cool. Honestly, I mainly bought it for the original dooms for Xbox. They are cooperative and incredibly fun to play with friends. The main game, doom 3 is alright. The graphics are great, but it seems kind of like every other shooter now. It's definitly worth the money though.

Ah, Doom, I remember you so fondly back when you were shareware a friend would pass along with promises that “this is the coolest game you’ll ever play.” It so turned out that it was true and Doom became something of a cult classic, a PC game that has practically given birth to a genre that to this day has console gamers enthralled. Let’s face it, Xbox gamers, we wouldn’t be enjoying...

Doom 3: Limited Collector's Edition
Strengths: The graphics on this game is arguably the best out of the whole Xbox game lineup.
Weakness: The gameplay gets a little repetitive.
I highly recommend Doom 3 for many reasons. It is one of the best first person shooters in the Xbox library so far. The graphics are absolutely stunning, and it could arguably be the best looking game for the Xbox. Another reason to buy this game is because it comes with the original Doom 1 and Doom 2 game. These games will bring you a few hours of nostalgic enjoyment which you can enjoy with up to 4 friends! You can also play Doom 3 with another person using the xbox link or through xbox live. This game is scary and will make you jump. It will keep you on your toes and give you hours of enjoyment. Buy this game because it is worth every penny!
